Rosa comes to Viroga as a pre and post natal yoga teacher. She is also currently a member of the Faculty, and a Lecturer, for the IYTA (International Yoga Teacher's Association) Diploma of Pre and Post Natal Yoga Teaching. Rosa first started to attend yoga classes with her mum when she was 11 years. She loved the way it made her feel; but through most of the next two decades fitted yoga in around her life. However in 2005, she studied yogic philosophy and practice at an Ashram in Rishikesh, India - thus beginning her own daily practice and she learnt to 'live yoga'. This life-changing experience made her want to increase her understanding further and to be able to share yoga with other people. She undertook her yoga teacher training with IYTA in 2008. Rosa found out she was expecting her first baby just a few months into her yoga teacher training. She has since used the community and supports she has made, largely though yoga, to be the village it takes to raise her own children. Rosa therefore naturally gravitates towards teaching in this incredible area. She is passionate about offering her students credible information so that they are empowered to make informed choices. She believes strongly in the ability of women to approach pregnancy, birth and parenting with a wisdom flowing from both their awareness and intuition. "My inspiration is my belief that yoga can greatly increase the development of a strong healthy attachment and the incredible start in life that this will gift".
